Hi Roger,

You asked about the goings on of the inner warmth and peace and its relationship to the greater reality. Let me explain it in this way.

You know what sleep is, but you can't buy a quart of it. You can't make yourself go to sleep, although alcohol or tranquilizers sedate the body so that the natural process of sleep will follow. They don't create sleep, though.

But you know that sleep is underlying wakefulness. Take away wakefulness and you have sleep. Regardless of how animated and energetic you are, if you lay down for a while, you fall asleep. You can't make yourself sleep. The more you strain to make yourself sleep, the more you stay awake. Sleep just happens naturally.

The greater reality is like that. If you take away the physical realm, you're left with the greater reality. You don't really enter the greater reality, and you don't really find it within. It permeates reality; it underlies reality. So when you take away the physical reality, you enter the greater reality, just as you fall asleep by doing more and more of nothing until sleep happens naturally.

Because the greater reality underlies the physical reality, all the things that are characteristic of the greater reality are characteristic of you and me, even though they may not be apparent in the physical realm. In the physical reality, there is time, space, separation, and death. But they're just the noise and energy that keep us from falling into the greater reality naturally just as noise and energy keep us from falling asleep. If we take away all that noise, we'll fall naturally into the greater reality where there is no time, no space, no separation, and no death.

Now, what will we find there? We'll find peace, love, harmony, and all those people and things we love. That's what underlies the physical reality, but we're so focused on the physical reality that we can't experience them. If we could give up on regretting the past and trying to control the future (time), and the feeling other people are different or unlovable or unloving (separation), and the fear of the transition into the afterlife (death), then what would happen is that we'd fall into the greater reality naturally: we'd be peaceful, loving, and unafraid of death. It isn't that we need to strive for it or read a book about it; we would have it naturally, just as by relaxing we fall asleep.

There's another very important dimension to the greater reality. Those you love are there and have an influence on your life. You also have guides there who are helping you. When you turn down the noise of the physical realm, you can hear or sense what they have for you. You have constant help and love from the other side. You just have to let it through.

Of course, the act of quieting yourself and being open is difficult, just as it's difficult to go to sleep when you've had a pot of coffee and you're worried about the chewing out you know you're going to get in the morning because of a costly mistake you made. The physical realm will keep you from falling asleep. In the same way, the physical realm keeps you from relaxing so you fall into the greater reality. You just have to regularly sit quietly and allow whatever will happen to happen. Maybe nothing will happen, but just as you have to relax and allow nothing to happen to fall asleep, you have to relax and allow nothing to happen to fall into the greater reality.

Ask quietly and wait for answers. Don't expect answers. They will come when it's time for them to come. As far as "observing" the greater reality, you don't observe it—you experience it. You'll know you've experienced the greater reality after it's happened. Then it's too late to observe, but you'll have wonderful knowledge and memories.

I can just guarantee you that if you seek, you will find. If you ask, you will receive answers. And if you knock, the door will open.

But if you can imagine trying to help someone who had never experienced sleep to stop trying to get or have sleep and just relax so they fall asleep naturally, that's what it's like trying to get proof or guarantees about falling into the greater reality. You wouldn't be able to tell them about sleep or give them enough assurance for them to feel that sleep will help them feel rested and that they'll have wonderful dreams. They have to relax enough to allow it to happen. Then they'll know. So relax and let the greater reality happen. Then you'll know.

Love and peace, Craig
