The only psychic to have lectured at the FBI's Training Academy, Noreen Renier, reported in testimony that an FBI officer paid her $300 cash for work on an Atlanta case. And she claims to have worked with "hundreds" of law enforcement personnel --- many upon the recommendation of a former FBI officer. Her current charges as a psychic investigator as outlined on her 2007 web site are $1000 for a 60-90 minute session. With many of the major U.S. police psychics the significant money comes from those in the general public who seek out these psychics after the media has reported on their involvement with police --- whether that involvement has helped or hindered. How accurate are they in working with law enforcement officials and then reporting accurately about what they did? Noreen Renier is unique in her involvement with the FBI as a lecturer and has been called "the best" by retired Special Agent Robert Ressler. However Renier's portrayal of the deaths of several passengers aboard a crashed airplane was fantasized and recently witnesses have indicated she created a heroic scene about the final moments of several passengers in order to solicit attention. Indeed she appears to have used the death scene of real victims as a springboard to secure attention before millions of TV viewers.
