Hello Dan,

You asked,
In the afterlife, does the body become a spirit?

In the physical realm, we vibrate in harmony with chairs and mountains and our bodies, so we have experiences of them; we sit in a chair, we see a mountain, and we feel pain when we stub our toe. But all that is just because the mind is attuned to the vibrations of the physical realm.

When we stop focusing on the physical realm, when our body dies, we don't need to stay on that vibration level, but we're still on a vibration level, so we have another whole world of chairs and mountains and a body. We then vibrate in tune with it. There, the chairs, mountains, and body we have are just as solid as what we have now. It will look just like the world you're in now, except more vibrant. Those on the next plane of life remark often how much like the Earth life is there.

You wrote,
Do you still need to bathe, eat, change clothes, sleep daily, do laundry, use the restroom?

No. All the physical realm functions are no longer necessary. That's a difference in the afterlife world and the Earth realm. The afterlife realm is our next stage in eternal life; we've graduated. There, we're in tune with our mental and spiritual condition. If we are spiritually mature, meaning loving and compassionate, we'll be with others of a similar nature. If we want to learn to play the piano, we may do so, gradually. We don't suddenly get abilities. We learn just as we do on the Earth plane. If a person feels the need to eat, food is provided. But people grow out of that need. If the person feels the need to have bodily elimination, that will be possible, but it's really not necessary and the person will grow out of it. Whatever we need to feel fulfilled and comfortable is provided. But we eventually grow out of the need for anything connected to our lives on the Earth and all that simply drops away.

Love and peace, Craig
