Yes, again and again. In fact, it isn’t just common folk like us. The Archbishop of Canturbury, monks, priests, and clergy of all stripes report that they regret much of what they taught. They say that Yeshua (whom they call Jesus) is a luminary who brought truth to humankind, but so did other great teachers. He never claimed to be a god. They speak with great reverence about him, however.
