You asked, “If there is Love -- God is Light, God is Love, Love exists as a fundamental constituent of the Universe -- then is there "evil" or "evil incarnate"?”

The word “evil” suggests that there is something of substance that is “evil” that is part of the creation just as love is. That’s not really true. No being is evil in the sense of somehow having an essence that is totally black, with no hint of light.

However, those on the other side do talk about two types of people who are prone to disruption and destruction. One they describe as being part of an active movement to keep humankind from advancing. They don’t say much about these people, but they are people, not demons or other creatures that somehow have an essence of evil.

The other group is those who are Earthbound and feel the impulse to do things we would regard as bad or destructive.

I’ll use an analogy. You know that there are people alive today who are cruel, insensitive, and without conscience. They are serial killers, child sexual abusers, serial rapists and others who do things we regard as abhorrent. If we look at who they are, we would see that the physical realm has given them bodies that are not wired correctly and likely they’ve also grown up in an abusive home. Sexual abused children often grow up to be sexual abusing adults.

Hitler was one of these people. But he grew up in a home with an abusive, alcoholic father and suffered repeated failures in his life. He did abhorrent things.

The people who are Earthbound on the next plane of life are those people who have crossed over and still have the propensity toward destruction and violence. They don’t change. They latch onto people still on this plane of life and influence them to do violent things. The weaker the person on this side of life and the more this person is driven to do destructive things, the more those who are Earthbound and want to get their kicks by seeing some destroy things on Earth can get through to them.

Now, why do these destructive people on this side of life do what they do? Why don’t they change? Why can’t they be more loving? The answer is that they’re prisoners of their own bodies and minds. They’re driven to do what they do. And when the cross into the next life, they’ll be driven to continue doing them.

So they’re the “evil” ones, but they’re just people who were abused as children or had awful life circumstances. That doesn’t make their actions any less abhorrent. But they’re products on the Earth plane. So there is no “evil” as such, but there are destructive people, just as there are on the Earth plane.

There is no devil, an inherently evil being. There are no demons who can only do evil. But there are the same gang bangers and serial murderers and arsonists and child sexual abusers still craving what they wanted on the Earth plane. Only now, they have to get it through seeing someone on the Earth plane they’re influencing do what they do.

All people in all ages are drawn toward love. Eventually, everyone will mature to be loving and compassionate. However, right now, there are some who are so driven to do things that satisfy Earthly desires, especially dysfunctional and destructive desires, that they’re far from being loving and compassionate. But it’s in their future.

Now, if you “dabble” with the spirits, as the ghost hunters do, without yourself being on a higher spiritual plane, you may attract some of those on the next plane who would like to deceive you and influence you. That’s how they get their kicks. No one should dabble in contacting spirits. The Ouija board is a marvelous method of having contact with those on the next plane of life, but because it’s so easy to use, people who aren’t spiritually minded or spiritually mature use it and it just attracts the wrong people. Those Earthbound folks then stay with the person who used the Ouija board because they’re easily influenced. Obviously they’re open to suggestion because they tried to contact spirits using the Ouija board. So the spirit who wants someone he or she can influence has found a subject. It isn’t that a person is “possessed.” No one can be possessed because the Higher Power has given us free will. But we can be obsessed. That means if we’re weak and we invite connections with the other side, they’ll try to influence us in our darkest areas. If we argue with our spouse often, they’ll be there influencing us with their thoughts to “get that SOB!” If we tend to mislead and lie on the job or in the family, they’ll be there putting the inspiration in our mind that we can and should lie.

So no one should try to contact those on the other side except with the highest spiritual intentions. But if you have a loving, reverent intent, and are doing what you do to contact your loved ones in love, you'll be fine. Pray a prayer of protection every time. And seek only the highest good. End in love and gratitude.
