Hi Tom,

We're bound by the rules of this incarnation. We see ourselves in space and time. However, space and time are only part of the scenery. They don't exist in eternity. Beginnings and endings are part of the perspective we are bound into. We can't imagine anything with neither beginnings nor endings.

However, we know that matter and energy, in this universe that has been created for us, is eternal. We have no understanding of a beginning for matter and energy; we have no conception of an ending. We can conceive only of changing its nature.

And so, we can at least postulate things with no beginnings and no endings.

We as individuals have no beginnings and no endings. We can't understand that, just as we can't understand matter and energy having no beginnings or endings, but the same principle applies. We were never created, as consciousness or mind, and we will never end.

That's all we can say. Matter and energy give us an analogy, although they are epiphenomena of consciousness. We are eternal, meaning eternally old and eternally new, but old and new are time bound, so we have to say that, then eliminate the time bound nature of old and new from our conception.

It's the best we can do to have the perspective.

Love and peace, Craig
