: Hello Tom,

: Those are really profound questions. The problem is that when we try to find answers to questions like that, we draw from our limited perspective in the physical realm. We know about beginnings and endings, sunrise and sunset, birth and death, love and hate, and all the other dichotomies. We tend to ask questions and give answers based on the limitations of time, space, and our intellectual and spiritual development at this period in humankind's development.

: About these issues, we can only observe what we know to be true, and have to be content with that.

: 1. We exist, and we are eternal.
: 2. We grow spiritually to be more loving and compassionate.
: 3. Matter and energy had no beginning and have no end; likewise, minds had no beginning and have no end.

: As to why you and I are so special, we only know that we are. We're going through this period in Earth school together, and we're learning lessons. It's a wonderful experience when we don't get caught up in the small stuff, and everything except who we are is small stuff.

: We do have an insatiable need to know "Why?" We feel the need to have things wrapped up in an explanation. However, the basis of the universe and consciousness has no "Why" answer. Why do atoms have a nucleus and why does electromagnetism or gravity exist? We just don't have answers. They simply do exist.

: So just enjoy it, live in love and compassion, and look forward to your eternal future.

: Love and peace, Craig
