Hello Edward,

We're continually learning and growing. The mind, the eternal self that continues from spiritual plane to spiritual plane, is always growing and learning. We're becoming more loving and compassionate. We're growing to be more like the pure loving Source that is at the basis of creation.

The Earth realm is a place of free will choices, for us as individuals and for humankind. Our forefathers grew to a certain spiritual level and their minds, together, collectively, influenced the physical realm or Earth plane. They have been violent, insensitive, and cruel. Humankind still is. That shapes the physical realm we live in now. In other words, the consciousness or minds of those who came before us gave us the Earth plane as it is right now.

Suffering is only what man does to man and what man gets from the physical realm we've created as a species. We do have pain, which is just the physical body telling us where to take care of a problem in the body we're using as we navigate through the Earth plane. But that's not what we talk about when we talk about suffering. We refer to suffering as those things man does to man, and to our ignorance about our place in eternity. If we lived in a realm in which we had unconditional love and compassion, we wouldn't have the suffering that we have in our conflicts and violence with each other. If we realized our eternal natures and that we will never be separated permanently form our loved ones, we wouldn't fear death and wouldn't see death as a terrible, permanent separation. But we are ignorant, and we are cruel and violent. So we bring suffering on ourselves, in our own beliefs and in humankind's condition. It doesn't have to be like this.

But more importantly, all the stages of humankind's evolution are in vibrations that are accessible now. I don't say they "exist" now because that brings them into space and time. They are accessible. The time when children were sacrificed is accessible; the time when humankind is unconditionally loving that we describe now as being in the future is accessible. We are now learning and growing as individuals and as a species. We are forming that vibration that is accessible now, but we can't access it. We're within the Earth vibration in 2010. We chose to incarnate into it.

We incarnated into the Earth vibration of 2010 rather than 2000 B.C.E. or 5000 C.E. because this period has lessons for us to learn. Whatever "suffering" we're experiencing is because of humankind's state at this time, but we've chosen to be here because this crucible has lessons for us to learn.

And so, the answer is that humankind creates suffering from ignorance and from the attitude of our collective minds: our violence, cruelty, and insensitivity. We have incarnated into this time to learn the lessons this time of insensitivity and violence can teach us. You and I chose this. And later, when we've advanced spiritually, we may incarnate into the later time when humankind is unconditionally loving, that we're helping create now by our lives, to learn the unique lessons that time can teach.

The Higher Power didn't create suffering. And we aren't imprisoned against our will. Humankind creates suffering, and we've chosen to live in this period on the Earth plane to learn lessons from it.
