Yes, you could access information through automatic writing. Anything that quiets the conscious mind will allow the normal flow of information to come to consciousness. I have done automatic writing and it requires quieting the conscious mind and allowing the knowledge to flow. You write as you hear or know. I haven't had my hand mysteriously move, as I gather some have suggested has happened with them. Keep trying that. You may find that you receive knowledge from someone who is not using a body anymore, especially someone you know who has passed away.
