Yes, "C" stands for "Constant," meaning the speed of light. Light, or rather electromagnetism, is the fundamental building block of the universe. As such, it's material. Consciousness is nonmaterial. It couldn't be suggested to be, even as a metaphor, the "C" in E=MC2.
