Hi Kim,We know very, very little about Yeshua. We have only fragments of sayings and stories that were passed down orally for 40 years after his passing. Those that have survived were heavily influenced by the agendas of the writers. As the manuscripts were copied and propagated, they underwent further changes. The story of his life became intertwined with other stories, especially involving Mithras. As a result, we can't tell much about Yeshua. Likely, the stories about walking on water, raising the dead, changing water to wine, and even rising himself bodily from death were additions to his story. The 40 days in the wilderness parallels the Jews' 40 years in the wilderness. It likely was added to appeal to the Jews. We don't really know anything about the story. Love and peace, Craig
