Hi Kim,Yes, Yeshua said that the Kingdom of God or Kingdom of Heaven is within us. However, he was thoroughly a first-century Israelite. There was only one God, the father (whom he called by the familiar name Abba, meaning papa). Abba was loving, but apart from humankind. It was necessary to pray to Abba for guidance and sustenance. Yeshua's messages for humankind fit into this Jewish mindset. However, we know today that God is the Source or Higher Power, that is the creating force within all of creation. There is no person outside of us that is God. And so today, prayer as speaking to some omnipotent male outside of us who grants wishes is archaic. Instead, we can meditate and connect with the Source. We can send goodwill and love to others. And we can ask for counsel and guidance from our guides, loved ones on the other side, and the Source. Those actions are what substitute for prayer today. Love and peace, Craig
